Regarding the possible acquisition of Owen Tippett

He is exactly what the Flyers need. He is described as a pure goal scorer with average size and good speed. A player who his dangerous all over the offensive zone. He is 23 years old and a point per game player in the AHL although its a small sample size of 8 games.

Fletcher is looking to get prospects that are close to NHL ready. Tippett fits.

WHen Lindy was dancing up the boards with his partner and was SLEW FOOTED (kneed?) and taken down, I was afraid he had been injured.
I played this in slo-mo and the knee of Jones went squarely into the back of Lindblom's. To me, it looked like a (sneaky) intent to injure.
When I reffed soccer any assaults from behind meant you left the game immediately and I'd decide, after reflection, whether to suspend them for more.
I also think Seth is a SOB.
This needs review by Player Safety and should be referred by the Flyers.

I thought Hayes looked good.. I have been more impressed with Sanheims game the last little while. I still wish he was more engaged physically on a regular basis, but that’s probably not going to happen. I think he becomes a decent weapon when he’s skating and jumping in the play and getting pucks to the net. It’s sounds simple…but it’s not.

He does fit the bill….and to get more teams involved then the Ave’s really could make a trade a lot more beneficial.

Agree 100%. Or young NHL players. That being said I hope he doesn't have tunnel vision again and takes the best offer. Even if it doesn't provide immediate help next season.

The biggest thing I took out of yesterday's game besides the fact that it was the first game in a long where the crowd actually seemed engaged due to some skirmishes and the fact that the Flyers actually showed some emotion? That was the fact that Hayes looked like an NHL skater. Not that he's a burner, but he sure as hell looked better than before they shut him down. I would have played Mayhew over JVR though. Hell, I'd play a might mite over JVR right now. Flyers win and Sixers lose....sounds like a win/win to me!

No Harden. 2nd of a back to back traveling to Miami who is a 1 seed. Context is everything.

Maksim Sushko and German Rubtsov were yanked from the lineup and sat out on Saturday as healthy scratches.

Unless it is for disciplinary reasons. They should not be scratched at this point.

No talk about the bee getting 3 assists? He is looking good again. I really like him playing with cam, too

He's playing well since his return. Made a couple of nice passes that led to goals.

Rubtsov is just back off (another) hand/wrist injury, and struggled mightily on Friday. Sushko has been up-and-down this season but had been playing well for a stretch of a few weeks until a couple tough games recently. Oddly enough, after Hodgson got tossed from Wednesday's game, Sushko got the first crack at playing on Frost's line before Laperrriere moved Laczynski from 3C to 1RW for the rest of the game.

Bill, what are your thoughts about Hodgson aside from his discipline issues? He has been scoring a lot at the AHL level, do you think he has the skills to play well at the NHL level?
Thanks

Excuses excuses!! Love how Sixers fans use every excuse in the book like they can do no wrong. Get used to that no Harden thing by the way. A 32 yr old guy that doesn't keep himself in good shape is a recipe for nagging injuries. Enjoy!! Ooops, almost forgot. Go Flyers!!!

Hayes’ skating looked much better. Like you said, he’s never going to be a fast skater, but he didn’t look like he had 100 lb weights attached to each leg yesterday. I know a lot of people don’t like him around here, but his ability to hold onto the puck, especially in the O zone, is top notch. I agree with you on JVR. All this talk from Yeo about effort and hustle and they sit the poster boy for it? Makes no sense to me.

Why is it interesting? Players who suck come from all Countries.
Do you think the Caps will bench Ovechkin?

He struggled. Ok let him play through it at this point. The phantoms are in what last place or next to last?

Same with sushko. The games are meaningless and let this "kids" play at this juncture.

No. Just seemed like an odd coincidence. Thus interesting
